The Labour Party is continuing to surge in the polls, as Nigel Farage’s Reform UK slumps, in what will be welcome news for Andy Burnham.
According to the latest poll by YouGov, Labour is on 27%, up three points since last week, while the Tories are on 23% with no change.
Meanwhile, scandal hit Reform are in third place on 22%, up one point, while the Greens are on 10%, down one point.
Reform has thus far failed to reach its polling highs of last year when it was averaging around 30%, with Farage also awaiting the outcome of a probe by the parliamentary standards commissioner for failing to declare a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne before he became an MP in 2024.
The Metropolitan police are also investigating Reform over allegations its senior aides attempted to solicit an illegal donation from a wealthy American.
In recent days, Reform has been embroiled in a racism scandal after an undercover ITV investigation exposed its councillors and party activists for racist, misogynistic and hateful views.
