Have your say
First the shadow chancellor John McDonnell said the Labour Party would vote in favour of chancellor George Osborne’s so-called fiscal charter (the charter would legally prevent governments from spending more than they bring in in tax revenue when the economy is growing). And then, yesterday, McDonnell appeared to do a complete U-turn. Labour will now oppose Osborne’s charter.
And so our question to you is: should this have been Labour’s position all along? Is Labour right to oppose the chancellor’s fiscal charter?

So you speak for the voters do you ?
I wonder whether you would be behaving in this childish way, if whoever you voted for won the labour leadership. I think not. Idiot

The trouble is that most voters will buy a simple, oft repeated narrative and actually believed Osborne’s lies about Labour. Unless we become more unifed and support each other we are not going to develop a better narrative. The 2015 proved that you can fool many of the people some of the time. Osborne is NOT an Economist but is good at telling lies and mocking others, which puts people on the defensive. His sound bite lies are easier to remember by the electorate than the well argued, well researched responses, which are not heard. Owen Jones would be a good spin-doctor to help us get our message across in sound bite ways.

I cannot see any possible unity between the Blairites and the democratic socialists. we are at opposite ends like Labour and Tory used to be. If they wish to stay in Labour they will have to follow a socialist agenda. At the moment they are still trying to oust Corbyn or undermine everything he does. They need to decide where they now belong. The 5% will not dictate to the 95%
Your point about Owen Jones is an excellent one. Perhaps share this with peoplesmomentum.com

You can always tell the loser of an argument when they descend to personal attacks and ad hominem remarks..
