The Labour Party has recorded its largest poll lead this parliament, while Reform’s woes continue and the party drops into third place, new polling analysis shows.
According to polling data from IPSOS, Labour are now on 32%, an increase of five percentage points on last month. That is the largest Labour lead IPSOS have recorded this Parliament.
Meanwhile the Tories are in second place on 24%, while Reform have dropped into third place on 20%.
The polling figures will be a welcome boost for Prime Minister Andy Burnham ahead of the budget set to take place later this week.
The Prime Minister used Labour Party conference last month to set out his programme for government, including tackling the cost of living crisis, backing public control of water and energy as well as the setting up of a new national care service which would be free at the point of use.
Meanwhile, Farage and his party have been embroiled in a number of scandals, including a standards committee probe into his failure to declare a £5million gift he received from a crypto billionaire, as well as revelations from an ITV documentary about widespread racism and misogyny amongst councillors and party activists.
