Count Binface brutally mocks Nigel Farage in his Clacton by-election manifesto

Count Binface has revealed his manifesto for the Clacton by-election today, which features a series of satirical pledges that take aim at Nigel Farage’s record.

Count Binface, the alter ego of stand up comedian Jonathan Harvey, has mocked Farage by vowing not to accept £5 million donations from crypto billionaires, and to spend more time in Clacton-on-Sea than in Washington DC.

In another dig at the Reform leader, the novelty candidate pledged to bar any candidates who resign mid-Parliament from standing in the resulting by-election. 

As Farage faces ongoing scrutiny over the undeclared £5 million gift he received from Christopher Harborne, the independent space warrior said: “I will not accept £5 million gifts from crypto billionaires (on Earth)”. 

“Join me, clean up Clacton and let’s make 13th August Bin Day!,” Count Binface urged voters. 

Binface also pledged to make MPs who change party mid-Parliament to be forced to face a by-election. 

He also said that he would cap bus fares at £1.99, and that 99 Flake ice-creams would cost no more than 99p. 

He said his previous campaign pledges including bringing back the BBC’s teletext news service, Ceefax, nationalising Adele and renaming HS2 to FFS1 would still stand. 

Farage resigned as the MP for Clacton earlier this month. The Reform politician said he had forced the by-election so that “the people of Clacton” could decide whether they still wanted him to be their MP after the news of the undeclared £5 million gift emerged.

Polling by YouGov found that more than four in ten (43%) opposed the Reform leader’s decision to trigger a by-election, compared to only 24% in favour.

The majority of respondents (60%) also said they didn’t think the Reform leader had been honest about his financial affairs.
