Nearly 50,000 people have viewed a music video against the coalition's cuts, which features a montage of Nick Clegg, George Osborne and David Cameron droning on about us "all being in this together", and even a star-turn from Mr Clegg's (alleged) political inspiration - Mrs Thatcher.
Nearly 50,000 people have viewed a music video against the coalition’s cuts, which features a montage of Nick Clegg, George Osborne and David Cameron droning on about us “all being in this together”, and even a star-turn from Mr Clegg’s (alleged) political inspiration – Mrs Thatcher.
The Facebook page, meanwhile, currently stands at more than 1,600 fans, and there are plans afoot to release the single at Christmas and do a “Killing In The Name”, as outlined by video producer Captain SKA, who says:
“I’m busy finalising all the detais for the release of “liar liar” and there will be an official press release very soon with details of charities and a launch gig. I can confirm though that the release date will be 11th December and it will be available through all online platforms, and as a ringtone too!”
Watch it:
Profits from download sales will go to various charities affected by the cuts, including homeless charity Crisis, and a number of smaller grassroots organisations that, Captain SKA tells Left Foot Forward:
“… are being decimated by this wonderful government.”

thing is, its actually not a bad song anyway – obviously the olitics within the lyrics are simplistic, but thats pop music for you, if its political and not simplistic its too subtle for the kind of thing this song wants to do. regarding people calling this blog tribal thats complete rubbish, it sometimes criticises the labour party, it sometimes praises the coalition(one example is some of the things ken clarkes trying to do), im sure its been supportive of the greens and plaid cymru, snp are a bunch of opportunists and lib dems toe the tory party line.
