Nigel Farage, whose personal approval ratings are dire, now has another headache to contend with, after a majority of Britons described him in negative words.
Ahead of Reform’s conference due to take place this weekend, YouGov asked Britons to describe Nigel Farage in three words.
71% used at least one negative term, with the most common being “racist” and “liar”, while only 27% used at least one positive term, with the most common being “patriotic” and “honest”.
The proportion of voters who think Nigel Farage looks like a Prime Minister in waiting has also dropped to 19%, with 66% now saying he does not look like a Prime Minister in waiting, up 6 points from June.
It comes at a time when Farage is deeply unpopular, and faces a standards committee probe into his financial affairs over his failure to adequately declare a £5million gift he had received from crypto-billionaire Christopher Harborne.
