The personal approval ratings of Prime Minister Andy Burnham continue to rise, while Nigel Farage continues to remain in the negative, new polling shows.
The poll, carried out by DeltaPoll between the 21st -24th August, came after Burnham announced measures to cut the cost of living, such as a cut to VAT on electricity bills, capping bus fares and a pledge to end rough sleeping.
He has also been engaged in a nationwide tour to better understand the public’s concerns on the cost of living crisis.
Burnham is on 26%, up 8 points, while Tory leader Kemi Badenoch is on 13%. Reform’s Nigel Farage meanwhile is on -16 points.
It comes despite Farage’s victory in the Clacton by-election, which was widely slammed as a political stunt designed to deflect questions away from his financial affairs.
Clearly the public aren’t buying his lies.
