Andy Burnham continues to be the only party leader with a positive net approval rating, with the Labour leader’s popularity showing no signs of abating.
Since Burnham took over as Labour leader and Prime Minister, 18 opinion polls have been carried out looking at the nation’s voting intention putting the Labour Party in first or joint-first place in 12 of them – that’s two thirds of all the polls conducted.
And the favourable poll ratings for the party also extend to Burnham, who continues to have a net positive approval rating.
The latest poll carried out by Opinium for the Observer, put Burnham on +16, Lib Dem leader Ed Davey on -4, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch on -5, Green’s Zack Polanski on -23 and Nigel Farage on -25.
It comes as Burnham launches a high-profile national tour of the United Kingdom to engage directly with the public regarding cost-of-living concerns.
The Prime Minister is expected to set out a range of measures in the coming weeks to help people with the cost of living.
