Former Top Gear presenter-turned-farmer Jeremy Clarkson mocked the Tories over empty seats at their party conference, after appearing as a surprise guest.
As he was being interviewed on the main stage, he said that “a lot of people have come dressed as seats”.
He wasn’t the only one to mock the Tories over their sparsely attended conference, with LBC presenter Iain Dale saying that the annual Tory gathering was as “flat as a pancake”.
The Tories haven’t been faring well in the polls lately and continue to trail Labour and Reform, despite Tory leader Kemi Badenoch having been in post for two years.
According to the latest More in Common poll, Labour are on 29%, up two points, while Reform are on 24%, up three points.
The Tories meanwhile are on 21%, down one point.
