As stupid as the comments that anyone to the left of Kendall, Cooper and Burnham is a marxist or communist. The Labour Party was always a broad church and the followers of “New Labour” should realise that although they dominated Labour Policies for the last 20 years, “the times they are a-changing”.

Your second sentence strikes me as rather ambiguous – like “You have stopped beating your wife, haven’t you?”

Your third sentence is, I think, falsely naive – would you be the same James McGibbon who has been contributing to Ruby Stockham’s piece that kicked off a discussion about making travel safer for women travelling alone? If so you should know better, Corbyn did NOT state the views that you attribute to him, nor has he ever.

Finally, What has Trotsky got to do with any of this? Your logic leaves me cold.

just as the house of lords gets a brand new intake, I( can’t but help reflecting on those who did say it was, as Kinnock put it, “an abomination”………..Kinnock, Cable, Hain !!!? and too many to list.
Sort of tells us all where most of our current crop of MP’s stand in the great spectrum that is the “democracy” of British politics…………..vote for him and you’ll get me, vote for me and you’ll get him, vote for us both and you’ll get Tweedledum and Tweedle dee.

We’ll see when the votes are counted. But Corbynistas have been abusive to people who don’t back JC in social media and elsewhere. They don’t seem to favour the idea of a broad church. Indeed it sounds like they want to get their revenge for everything that’s happened in the last 20 years or so.

Are they planning purges and deselections – as the hard left did in the 1980s? Some of the sinister figures from that era are making a comeback.

i would like to see jeromy corbyn as leader because he will take railways energy and water back into public ownership. also he is not part of the elite establishment of westminster . he is more in tune with what people are seeking – clear blue water between the tories and labour. he is offering hope and i believe he will keep his promises. i fully agree with his manifesto. it is time to move away from new labour and work for the common people again, ten years ago i would have said that socialism had done its job and was not so necessary anymore.- that is untill this lot got into power and they are intent on taking us back to dickension times. they want everyone loaded with debt and will not provide the safety net that some people need. they care nothing for the small man. the other point i would like to make is that the other 3 contenders are basically tories and will follow the same route that got us here in the first place,
