Poll: What outcome would you most like to see at the General Election?

Of the possible governments post-May, which would you prefer?

The General Election really is, to use the cliche, too close to call. Labour has a slight but fairly stable lead in the polls according to YouGov, but other polls have the Tories ahead (one ICM poll today gives them a four point lead over Labour).

Meanwhile the Greens and UKIP are likely to add to their one and two respective seats and no one knows how many (or how few) seats the SNP and the Lib Dems will get.

And so we want to ask you, the reader, which of the possible outcomes you would prefer, come May. The results of the survey will be published early next week.

You have to see them as children going along with their teachers and doing what they are told. I agree that they should have known better but even Vince Cable achieved very little despite his experience. I feel sympathy for all the LibDem Councillors and others who have lost out for the sake of Clegg being DPM.

Aye, I’d go for an SNP/Labour coalition, or anything with the Green Party in it. I’d prefer a Green Party Majority, but it wasn’t a choice.

Some of the options are never going to happen. SNP will never support a Tory government and Lib Dems will not go into a coalition with UKIP.

I partly agree. A coalition had to be formed as that was the only option. Having another election might have resulted in a Tory majority or Labour majority with the Lib Dems back to where they were before.
I’m glad they tried government. I just wish they’d been a bit more forceful in objecting to some Conservatives policies such as the “Bedroom Tax”. Might have been a bit rosier for them if the AV referendum had been won and they got House of Lords Reform through. At least then they would have solid evidence that they’ye participation in government had changed the country.

The major parties have at their core a political class stuck fast in a feudal aristocratic mindset educated into them in public school and Oxford and Cambridge.

Few people listen to politics or care less about parliament. Voting has gone out of fashion, least of all being bothered to be registered to vote.

There is a way to escape this and save thousands of lives in 2015.
    See how on
