Liberal Conspiracy and Left Foot Forward have held their place at the top of Wikio’s blog ranking. At the end of 2010, left-wing blogs hold six of the top ten spots in the rankings of blog influence.

Left Foot Forward has again been given exclusive access to the December rankings. The new findings show less change than last month when Liberal Conspiracy and Left Foot Forward broke the right-wing hegemony of the Wikio rankings for the first time. Among the movers, Labour Uncut continues its rise up the rankings jumping from 8th to 6th. Conservative Home’s ToryDiary moves in the other direction. LibDemVoice and Political Scrapbook hold firm in 7th and 9th place respectively.

The highest climber in the Top 10 is the Financial Times’ Westminster blog which has jumped from 18th to 10th replacing Paul Waugh’s now redundant Evening Standard blog. It remains to be seen how long it will take for the unofficial blogger of the year to re-enter the Top 10 with his new blog at Politics Home, The Waugh Room.

UPDATE 17.41:

Sincere apologies to Heresy Corner who jumped from 134th to 15th in the general rankings (9th in the political rankings) and eluded Left Foot Forward’s culling of non-political blogs from the general list we were given. They are clearly the biggest climbers of the month – you can read Heresy Corner’s own blog on the subject speculating why that might be the case. Political Scrapbook and the FT’s Westminster Blog fall back to 10th and 11th as a result.

1 Liberal Conspiracy (1st last month)
2 Left Foot Forward (2)
3 Guy Fawkes’ blog (4)
4 Iain Dale’s Diary (3)
5 Labourlist (5)
6 Labour Uncut (8)
7 Liberal Democrat Voice (7)
8 ConservativeHome’s ToryDiary (6)
9 Heresy Corner (-)
10 Political Scrapbook (9)
11 Westminster Blog (18)

left foot forward is a ghost town compared to most centrist blogs. it’s got better but there is a way to go.
