The Labour Party is now predicted to have a majority should an election be called, in what is the first time a projection has given such a scenario since October 2024.

The projection, made by PollCheck and based on poll trackers, puts Labour on 329 seats (-82), while Tories are on 104 seats (-17). Reform meanwhile are on 76 seats, with the Lib Dems on 65 (-7).

The projection comes after party conferences took place, with Labour leader Andy Burnham setting out his programme for government, laying out a series of bold and radical measures to tackle the cost of living crisis and political apathy, including bringing water and energy under public control and a new national care service.

Reform on the other hand have had a torrid time, with Farage lurching from one scandal to the next, as he continues to face questions over political donations from crypto billionaires.
