Nigel Farage seen campaigning with disgraced Reform Nazi salute candidate

A former Reform Senedd election candidate, who was disgraced after a photo of him performing a Nazi salute emerged, has been spotted campaigning with Nigel Farage in the Clacton by-election.
As first reported by Nation.Cymru newspaper, Corey Edwards posed for photos with Farage and other campaigners in a pub beer garden in Clacton.
Video footage shared by Gareth Beer MS showed Farage drinking a pint with Edwards and other Welsh Reform activists.
Edwards was a candidate for Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg seat in the Senedd elections this May.
Nation.Cymru unearthed a photo of Edwards smiling and appearing to do a Nazi salute.
At the time, Farage defended the photo, saying that Edwards was doing an impersonation of Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers.
Asked if Edwards would be kicked out of Reform or sacked as a candidate for doing a Nazi salute, Farage said: “No, he’s a human being.”
Edwards said he had been impersonating a footballer, not Basil Fawlty. He added that he had made mistakes in the past, but had since turned his life around.
At the end of March, before the Senedd elections, Edwards stepped down as a Reform candidate citing “mental health reasons”.
Despite being disgraced over a photo of him performing a Nazi salute, Edwards was appointed as a senior adviser to Welsh Reform leader Dan Thomas at the end of May.
Now he is out campaigning for Farage and joining him for post-canvassing pints.
There will be a total of 33 candidates standing against Farage in the Clacton by-election on 13 August.
Farage resigned as an MP and forced a by-election earlier this month following mounting scrutiny over the undeclared £5 million gift he received from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne.
When he announced his resignation, he said it would be a “people vs Establishment” by-election.
He said that voters in Clacton should get to determine his future, not the media or the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner’s investigation into his finances.
