Far-right Newport West candidate defends soldiers shooting at Corbyn image

Hugh Nicklin said the video was "horse play"

A far-right candidate in the Newport West by-election has defended soldiers filmed shooting at a poster of Jeremy Corbyn.

‘For Britain’ candidate Hugh Nicklin tweeted that the video showed “old fashioned high jinx and horse play”.

For Britain is a far-right party started by Anne-Marie Waters after she failed to become leader of UKIP. In these leadership elections, she was considered the right-wing candidate.

The video shows four members of the British Parachute Regiment shooting at a large poster of the Labour leader. The video’s caption reads “happy with that”. The British Army has launched an investigation into the incident.

Since becoming Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn has been targetted by far-right terrorists.

Darren Osborne, the terrorist who murdered Makram Ali outside a mosque in Corbyn’s constituency, said he had planned to kill Corbyn himself.

A few weeks before carrying out the terror attack, Osborne had searched the internet for far-right leaders Jayda Franssen, Tommy Robinson and Paul Golding.

In March, Corbyn was assaulted by a Brexit supporter called John Murphy who was jailed for 28 days. While violent, this was not an act of terrorism.

Labour MPs have also been targetted by far-right terrorists. During the Brexit referendum, Jo Cox was murdered by Britain First supporter Thomas Mair.

About a year later, Neo Nazi pedophile Jack Renshaw planned to murder another Labour MP Rosie Cooper.

Because of a whistleblower and anti-fascist group Hope not Hate, Renshaw was unsuccesful and faces jail.

Renshaw was a member of a Neo-Nazi group called National Action which has now been banned by the Home Office.

Renshaw was accused of being a member of the group after it was banned but a jury could not reach a decision on this charge.

Members of the British Army have also been arrested on suspicion of being members of this banned group and preparing acts of terror.

In September 2017, four soldiers and one civilian were arrested in a joint raid by terror police.

Two of these soldiers, Mikko Vehvilainen and Mark Barrett were later charged with being members of National Action.

Vehvilainen, a National Action recruiter in the military, was sentenced to eight years in prison while Barrett was acquited.

It is unfortunately just a matter of time before either Corbyn or Abbott are seriously assaulted given the rhetoric and hate produced by the Tory Party and the Right-wing press. Also, you can’t rule out Mossad getting up to something. They are not bothered by alleged anti-Semitism. It’s Corbyn’s support of Gaze that is their main concern.

You really are a hypocrite if you fail to see Labour’s threatening behaviour; especially the violent rhetoric of one John McDonnell.
Lynching, kneecapping, kicking, and slapping seem par for the course as far as our John’s concerned/

I also don’t remember too much fuss when Thatcher’s coffin was paraded through the street – or effigy burned.

And if I were a member of HM’s forces, I would be a bit anti-Labour – how does a political party send our troops into war and then persecute the personnel when they return to civvy life?
Persecutions that are brought by so-described ‘rights’ groups from which Labour MPs have gained financially.

“Labour’s threatening behaviour” ? Don’t make me laugh. Where has John McDonnell advocated any of what you allege ? Where has this been directed at a political opponent ?
Having an effigy of someone is symbolic , unless you really would have us believe that Guy Fawkes Night on November 5th is a revolutionary uprising.
HOWEVER we have to look at things in context and the current climate. Coming after the murder of Jo Cox and following on from that not one , not two , but THREE plots to kill Labour MPs and an Assault on one of those targeted in the last 12 months. It really is reprehensible that anybody would be so dismissive of violence against MPs and try to pass it off as ‘harmless banter’ and far more disingenuous that you would suggest that Labour MPs are fair game because someone once made an effigy of Thatcher. Give your head a wobble.
