Forget Cabinet sackings, Brexit bungling, government law-breaking and NHS disasters - it's the return of blue passports that really matters today.

The Tories may have lost a crucial vote while attempting to stymie our elected MPs’ oversight of Brexit. They may have been forced into releasing (heavily redacted) Brexit impact documents after a humiliating saga.
And they may have just seen the First Secretary of State resign over claims he had porn on his Commons computer.
But there’s bigger news out there. A story which was previously, cruelly, out of the lime-light.
Here’s the Sun’s front page today:

Despite nearly 30 years of having burgundy passports in the UK, we are set to ‘return’ to blue passports. It has the tabloids in a head-spin over today.
It is a surreal, frothing-at-the-mouth nostalgia fest. For what amounts to a costly re-brand of our travel documents, in a move that means something only to those over 40.
Here are six stories the Sun missed while raving about blue passports:
1. Theresa May potentially knew about inappropriate behaviour from sacked Cabinet Minister as early as last year
2. The government is facing a High Court challenge over whether enacting Article 50 was legal. If successful, it could bring negotiations to a halt
3. Jeremy Corbyn is calling on the British public to protest against the US President when he visits. Yes, the leader of the opposition is calling for demonstrations against the leader of ‘the free world’
4. A Court has ruled the Tories’ disability benefit cuts are unlawful. The government broke the law…
5. There is going to be a Cabinet reshuffle after Damian Green’s exit. Surely it matters who might be coming/going?
6. Surgery has been cancelled for thousands of people this Christmas in a desperate attempt to avert a winter crisis, in the face of enormous pressures on the NHS
All of this comes down to priorities – both the Tories’ and the Sun’s.
That’s aside from the fact that burgundy passports aren’t mandatory for EU states anyway.
But hey, what use is the truth when we have Brexit spin?

And one story which Left Foot Forward has failed to cover – the elections in Catalunya – and failed to cover in any great depth since events there began to develop earlier this year.
