Trump signed the notorious Mexico City Policy – the ‘global gag rule’ – which bans US aid going to organisations that ‘perform or actively promote abortions’ – even if they do so with separate funds.
Women’s health groups warn the law means more unsafe abortions, blocks access to contraception and costs women’s lives.
Millions of women marched on Saturday against Trump’s sexist agenda.
But Theresa May says she won’t raise women’s rights when she meets Trump for the first time on Friday.
We call on Theresa May to use her meeting with President Trump to urge him to reverse course, repeal the ‘global gag rule’, and save women’s lives.
