Poll: Should Britain take in more refugees?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Have your say

The pictures of Aylan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian boy found washed up on a beach in Antalya, Turkey, appear to have (finally) brought it home to the British commentariat that more must be done to help those refugees currently fleeing from war and dictatorship.

As such, David Cameron is coming under increasing pressure to let in more refugees. Up to now the prime minister has responded that Britain is doing a great deal to help refugees – but by spending money on aid to be sent to the areas where people are fleeing in the first place.

But are the prime minister’s critics right – should Britain take in more refugees? Or is Britain, as the PM likes to point out, already doing its bit?

Have your say – the results of the poll will be published early next week.

Labour see’s more voters. Thats about as deep as their thinking goes. That the camps in Turkey are perfectly safe, and the cultural implications of thousands of young muslim men are grim doesnt figure (in fact Corbyn/Galloway seem to relish it)…they need voters…the last election shows the last 15 years 5 million or so imports is not enough.

Since Labour is now no longer the party of the working class, but the party of the non-working underclass, they can’t believe their luck…the opportunity must be seized.

800,000 extra workers in a single year!?
Germany is NOT that desperate, as my German friends will attest.
Are you saying that they have come to Germany for work? If so you are saying they are economic migrants? Do you understand the concept of offering asylum? It is only temporary until the country they have come from gets better. In the long term millions of people leaving a region does no good for that region, look into Moldova as an example.

Germany taking in 800,000 migrants is a blind, when its stupidity and the Migrants don’t get their demands realised and civil unrest takes over, Frau Merkel will blackmail the Baltic states, Poland, the Chek Republic, the Slovak Republic and any other EU sovereign sate where it has a significant financial interest, making them an offer they can’t refuse, into dispersing the migrants into their territory and away from German boarders. Germans are not known for there magnanimity if there is no pay back they soon loose interest, look how they treated the Greeks. As for us taking in more migrants, we take in too many already 350,000 last year no German offer of help there.

No way. Why don’t THE PEOPLE have a vote as most are sick to death of the immigration in the uk. Cannot get social housing or medical treatment even school places because immigrants use it all. HAD ENOUGH DAVID CAMERON.
