Poll: What outcome would you most like to see at the General Election?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Of the possible governments post-May, which would you prefer?

The General Election really is, to use the cliche, too close to call. Labour has a slight but fairly stable lead in the polls according to YouGov, but other polls have the Tories ahead (one ICM poll today gives them a four point lead over Labour).

Meanwhile the Greens and UKIP are likely to add to their one and two respective seats and no one knows how many (or how few) seats the SNP and the Lib Dems will get.

And so we want to ask you, the reader, which of the possible outcomes you would prefer, come May. The results of the survey will be published early next week.

Better the cash be spent campaigning for PR than standing in regions where you won’t be elected under FPTP.

If PR is your priority it would be better to vote and even campaign for any candidate who stands a chance of winning against an incumbent Conservative. I admit it would be hard for a Green supporter to vote UKIP, but with the Tories on course to be the largest parliamentary party their opponents on the ground may have to hold their nose and vote tactically just one more time if they want to finally get rid of England’s rotten First Past The Post electoral system.

How is voting for anti-PR candidates remotely helpful?

Voting for repellent pro-austerity candidates, hence endorsing their views, is part of the problem.

as a disabled person i would be unable to give a campaign the required oomph had i been the guy who was fit and able some years back i may well have done so
