Didn’t know these…I think the quote about the importance of where you come from is the best. Three square miles dominate Britain…Windsor and Eaton, the City of London, and the part of Glasgow that Alex Ferguson, David Moyes, Bill Shankly, Matt Busby and Jock Stein all grew up in!

He’s not saying he shouldn’t be allowed to express a viewpoint (I wouldn’t imagine). He’s saying that he’s not a relevant person to go to for comment on things like this. If I went to my editor and said I rang up Fergie for a comment on the latest coalition policy, he’d probably run it anyway because it’s fucking Fergie, but people would think: “Well, what the fuck does it matter what he thinks?”
