James Bloodworth joins Left Foot Forward today as Assistant Editor
You may have noticed a new name in your inbox last Thursday when Look Left was sent out. James Bloodworth joined Left Foot Forward last week and formally takes over from Shamik Das today.
We are extremely pleased to welcome James to Left Foot Forward as Assistant Editor. You can follow him on Twitter: @J_Bloodworth. James hails from the West Country and is a qualified journalist who has written for the Independent, the Independent on Sunday, the Observer, Red Pepper and a number of other publications. James previously worked as a data journalist in the business-to-business sector and has a masters in political journalism. He is going to be a great asset to the site.
But as James arrives we are very sad to be saying goodbye to Shamik Das after three and a half years of brilliant blogging and editing. We’re very pleased that he’ll keep writing for the site on issues like school sport and the Olympic legacy, which he has made his own in the last few years.
I hope you’ll all join me in thanking Shamik for a brilliant period at the helm of Left Foot Forward and wish him all the best for the future.
