At Left Foot Forward, we are making a fundraising appeal - please donate.
.
Dear reader,
Over the last three years, I’ve watched Left Foot Forward grow from a mere idea to a campaigning website working every day to promote new progressive ideas and push back on counterproductive policies and misinformation from the right.
I’ve watched our readership grow from a few thousand to more than 60,000 per month and seen the number of contributors grow from a handful to the hundreds. As our influence and reach has grown, we’ve broken more and more stories including our scoop on Mitt Romney and our exposé of the misuse of statistics by Iain Duncan Smith and Chris Grayling as they’ve tried to build a case for swingeing welfare cuts. We’ve also led campaigns including, somewhat topically, those against the government’s cuts to school sport and the poor media coverage of women’s sport.
All the while we’ve been working behind the scenes to make Left Foot Forward financially sustainable. Thanks to our advertising income and the generous donations of our own readers, we’ve now secured most of the income we need this year to keep holding the coalition to account and ensure our content is sharp, accurate and timely. But we’re still £3,000 short of what we need this year.
We really need every Left Foot Forward reader to step up, make a small donation today and keep us successful.
We now have scores of readers making small monthly payments to Left Foot Forward and hundreds making small donations every year.
Can you join them and make a one off donation today?
We have big plans for the period ahead. We’re teaming up with other left-wing blogs to expose the hypocrisy of this coalition; we’re redesigning our website to keep us at the cutting edge; and we’ll be continuing to show that there’s a brighter, more hopeful future possible for our country.
Help us towards our £3,000 summer fundraising target by making a donation today.
Thanks for your support,
Will and Shamik
ps. If you would like to make a more regular contribution to Left Foot Forward, get in touch and ask for a standing order form.

I agree. As soon as anyone dares to disagree with the OP, there’s always someone in there to make a personal attack on the commenter. It’s not worth having a discussion here.
I think most of this is projection (see other comments here).

Yes, of course you’re defending your fellow trolls. The type of far right statements a few posters routinely make here, suppressing discussion, are of course intended to do just that.
Than you then cry when I point out those pesky “consequence” things is typical.

As an old age pensioner should I beat myself? Just because a person is poor it does not mean that they want to sponge off the taxpayer; some of us have more self respect.

Well, yes, apparently you are a masochist.

Oh do grow up and think of something original to say.
