According to the UN the last six months in Afghanistan have been the most deadly since records began in 2001. Deaths in May were the highest recorded in a single month ever.

Rory may not be a regular face on Left Foot Forward, but his views on Afghanistan are well informed, progressive and, most importantly, realistic.

Excellent contribution to the debate from Rory. If, as a Tory MP, he is able to bend the ear of Liam Fox then good work will have been done on behalf of us all. His comments on Libya at the end deserve special attention.
