I’ve written a piece for the Channel 4 News website which outlines why, although he won’t be the next leader, Ed Balls is Labour’s kingmaker.
Updating Left Foot Forward’s leadership model we find that the membership and trade union sections of the electoral college will be a dead-heat. Since Andy Burnham’s MP endorsers are likely to back David Miliband while Diane Abbott’s smaller number will predominantly go for Ed M, it leaves the race in the hands of Ed Balls and his parliamentary supporters.
Our updated model can be found here.
Left Foot Forward doesn't have the backing of big business or billionaires. We rely on the kind and generous support of ordinary people like you.
