AP reports that, “Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says he would like to meet with ‘dissidents’ when he visits the U.S. next week.” The Russian President is due to visit the US from September 22 to 25. He has told Russian news agencies:
“I believe there are dissidents in the United States.
“I think I should speak to dissidents. Let them tell me what problems the United States has. That won’t be bad, considering the Soviet experience.”
Radio Free Europe have a humorous list of his potential targets which include radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, film-maker Michael Moore, and Kanye West who is in the midst of a spat with Barack Obama after the President called him a “jackass.”
