Reform’s fall in the polls is far from a temporary blip, after YouGov’s latest poll of voting intention saw the party fall into third place.
According to the poll, which was carried out after party conferences, Labour are on 24% (-3), while the Tories are on 23% (+3). Meanwhile Reform are now behind the Tories on 21% (-1).
While the Tories’ rise in the polls could be put down to a post-conference bounce, it shows that the Tories still pose a challenge.
Reform’s woes are continuing. It’s party conference was plagued by scandal after undercover reporters filmed senior party advisors discussing how to get around electoral laws to secure a foreign donation.
The standards committee probe into Farage’s donations is also expected to be published in the next few days.
