A greater proportion of voters approve of Andy Burnham’s government than disapprove, a poll has found.
The poll, carried out by YouGov, found that 33% of voters approved of the Burnham government’s record to date since he took office, compared to 27% who disapprove.
It comes as Burnham prioritises tackling the cost of living crisis as his immediate priority since becoming Prime Minister, announcing a raft of measures including cutting VAT on electricity, capping bus fares and a 20% cut in business rates for pubs, social clubs and live music venues in England.
The Prime Minister has also vowed to re-wire Britian and reverse 40 years of neo-liberal policies and privatisation, as well as pledging to nationalise water and energy.
He has benefitted from a rise in poll ratings over last few months, as Nigel Farage continues to struggle with all of his scandals.
