Robert Kenyon, Reform’s candidate in the Makerfield by-election, had a second deleted X account where he posted ‘creepy’ comments about women and shared conspiracy theories, Hope not Hate has revealed.

This latest revelation follows earlier reports this week of Kenyon having a suspended X account and a deleted Facebook account.

From that suspended X account,  Makerfield_RFK, Kenyon shared posts from far-right influencer Carl Benjamin.

The Reform parliamentary candidate also responded to a Home Office tweet which read: “If you engage in violent protests, you will face the full force of the law”, stating: “Is it a hate crime for Asian men walk round in Birmingham assaulting white people en masse [sic]?”.

Two years ago, Searchlight also found that Kenyon was Facebook friends with Gary Raikes, leader of neo-fascist group the New British Union. He has since deleted the Facebook account.

Hope not Hate has now found that Kenyon used another X account, robkenyon1, where he peddled conspiracy theories during the covid-19 pandemic and made derogatory comments about women.

In one post, he responded to Peter Sweden, a far-right influencer with a history of Holocaust denial saying the media “were complicit” in “global tyranny”.

Kenyon also replied to someone who said the Covid vaccines “help a lot”, commenting, “What a load of crap”, and said Australia had gone “full nazi” on its covid vaccination policies.

He also shared a post in which he said he believes that climate change is “a middle class problem”.

In December 2021, he suggested making the conspiracy theorist Neil Oliver a government minister.

In a series of “creepy” comments about women, Kenyon agreed with a comment another social media user made about wanting “smell & lick” Carol Vorderman’s “arsehole”.

He also said he loves how female rugby players “handle their knockers”, and wrote: “If it’s not tits and arse or rugby its politics [sic].”

On 5 April 2020, Kenyon declared that someone eating chips on a beach should be waterboarded, a method of torture which is prohibited by international human rights law.

He also called for Richard Branson and other businessmen to be ‘hanged’ for accepting furlough money to pay their workers.

This is the second time Kenyon has stood as Reform’s parliamentary candidate in Makerfield, after he came second in the constituency at the 2024 general election.

The offensive posts raise fresh questions about how Kenyon was selected to represent the hard-right party not once, but twice, and, crucially, how he is still their candidate.
