AV: Poll lead for yes campaign as Clegg set to take back seat
A majority of the public will vote yes in the alternative vote (AV) referendum, according to an ICM poll in today's Independent; 56% favour AV, 44% oppose.

The Yes to fairer votes site launches this week. In contrast to the dull oppressive shades of the No campaign’s site, it is clear, bright and colourful, and focuses on the grassroots nature of the campaign with ways in which people can get involved. There is now a network of determined activists across the country that has grown steadily since the extraordinary outpouring of energy during the purple “fair votes” protests back in May.
AV: A bigger and better change than people think

AV referendum to be announced next week & held in May
Left Foot Forward understands from a source close to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister that the timetable for the promised referendum on AV will be announced next week, and that the referendum itself is most likely to be scheduled to coincide with the May 2011 Local Elections.
