LFF was founded in 2009, and for the last 17 years we’ve been providing hard-hitting reporting, holding the right to account and creating a space for debate among progressives in the UK.
It’s vital that we keep this platform for the next 17 years and beyond too.
But I’ll cut to the chase. As an independent, progressive media outlet run by the left, for the left, keeping our doors open has never been easy. And things have just got a little bit harder.
One of our biggest funders has had to reduce the the funding they provide to us by £1,000 per month – starting from September. Without replacing that funding, the future of our reporting is under threat.
Can you help secure LFF as one of the UK’s leading progressive media outlets?
LFF has big ambitions for the future.
We want to provide frank, honest and fair coverage of the Labour government under new prime minister Andy Burnham. We want to keep holding Reform to account – both in local government and on the national stage. And we want to ensure that smaller progressive parties get a fair hearing.
None of that will be possible if we need to scale back our operations.
