Reform gains financial backing from another billionaire

Three billionaires now fund Nigel Farage’s party

Reform UK has said it is “delighted” that another billionaire has pledged to donate millions to the party.

Iranian-born British billionaire venture capitalist Sasan Ghandehari is the third billionaire to back Nigel Farage’s party.

This makes Ghandehari the third billionaire to give Reform financial backing.

The party has already received £15 million from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne since 2025. Crypto investor Ben Delo also donated £4 million to Reform at the beginning of this year.

The Telegraph reported that Ghandehari plans to donate large sums to Reform, after deciding that Farage is “the only person who can change this country”.

The billionaire has said he doesn’t want to wait “any longer” to donate to Reform, as he believes there will be an early election once Andy Burnham takes over as prime minister.

He said he is not just going to donate “one or two million, it’s going to be more”

He added: “At this stage, I’m not going to put a figure on it, but I don’t want to be number one. Number one is Chris, so maybe number two, number three. It’s going to be regular payments.”

Ghandehari is currently a tax resident in Switzerland, but it is reported that he is in the process of moving his tax residency to the UK.

HP Trust, Ghandehari’s family firm, paid over £50,000 for Farage to attend the World Economic Forum at Davos in January.

Farage also received seven donations totalling £200,000 from Interior Architecture Landscape company, which has links to Ghandehari.

A Financial Times probe found that the company is in debt and was unable to find any evidence that it has clients, yet was still able to make the donations.

Reacting to Reform welcoming another billionaire, journalist Barry Malone wrote on X: “Another billionaire. Because it’s the wealthy that Reform works for.”

Another X user commented “The party of the people”, pointing out that Harborne, Delo and Ghandehari have all been living abroad in jurisdictions with “special tax regimes”.

Harborne and Delo have said they have moved back to the UK from Thailand and Hong Kong to make more donations to Reform.
