Before Climate Change there was Chlorofluorocarbons polluting the upper atmosphere which was likely to cause ozone holes. Which if they became prevalent then sunbathing kill off the ‘sport’ of boozing cheap alcohol while soaking up the sun on holiday would become nothing but a fond memory, unless the sun worshipers liberally coated themselves in a sort of blue paste anti sun protection. This risk has now diminished due to International agreements.
Now ‘we’ have Climate Change ( there is a rumour from across the Pond that Trump has now accepted that Climate Change exists. For this reason Farage has now dumped Trump and is seeking new ‘followers ‘ from within Trumps administration).
While this not exactly on topic, it does indicate that the UK ( as in other countries), that Politics isn’t fixed on narrow lines and fewer people now appear to trust the Boris Johnson. Catchy sound bites aren’t much use when hiding yourself in a fridge to dodge ‘ pesky reporters ‘ asking awkward questions.

Don’t call it a ‘manifesto analysis’. In the manifesto analysis the Greens came out on top. On 27 Nov they published a scoring with Greens several points ahead of Labour. This has now disappeared from their website, but the ‘manifestos analysis’ still puts Greens ahead, quote:

“At the end of all that, how are the parties doing overall? So far it seems that the Green Party most consistently meet our demands with a manifesto of great ambition and numerous detailed policies. Labour and the Lib Dems come next, both of whom are very strong on ambition and funding for renewable power and home energy efficiency, but have important gaps in other areas. The Conservative Party are bringing up the rear, with policies which are generally less ambitious, entirely absent, or in some cases activity damaging.”

What happened next was that Rebecca Long-Bailey and other Lab front benchers commissioned an 11 page addendum to the Labour manifesto and sent this privately to Friends of the Earth. These 11 pages and the pledges therein are not in the Labour manifesto and therefore should not have been used to bump up the Labour Party score.

Let’s not look at the SNP environmental record as it may embarrass Labour.

The whole Labour manifesto is existing SNP action.
Free education
Free prescriptions
Nursery school support
Oppose fracking
Against Trident replacement ( Labour still support this)
An end to austerity
Water still in Public hands in Scotland ( another catch up)
Etc etc
