On the other hand, the EU needlessly punished Greece with austerity, destroying the Greek economy, so EU tax-payers would feel better about bailing out the banks. And, the EU elite’s fear or Right Wing populism has driven the EU elite to implement the policies of Right Wing populists they fear: paying Turkey billions to keep refugees out of the EU.

The LP needs to renew its radical message, argue for economic democracy, a meaningful Green New Deal (not the EU’s empty promise) – thus providing an alternative to the status quo.
