Having an effigy of someone is symbolic , unless you really would have us believe that Guy Fawkes Night on November 5th is a revolutionary uprising.
HOWEVER we have to look at things in context and the current climate. Coming after the murder of Jo Cox and following on from that not one , not two , but THREE plots to kill Labour MPs and an Assault on one of those targeted in the last 12 months. It really is reprehensible that anybody would be so dismissive of violence against MPs and try to pass it off as ‘harmless banter’ and far more disingenuous that you would suggest that Labour MPs are fair game because someone once made an effigy of Thatcher. Give your head a wobble.

You really are a hypocrite if you fail to see Labour’s threatening behaviour; especially the violent rhetoric of one John McDonnell.

I also don’t remember too much fuss when Thatcher’s coffin was paraded through the street – or effigy burned.

And if I were a member of HM’s forces, I would be a bit anti-Labour – how does a political party send our troops into war and then persecute the personnel when they return to civvy life?
Persecutions that are brought by so-described ‘rights’ groups from which Labour MPs have gained financially.
