I like Jeremy Corbyn and I believe everyone associated with Labour should give him a chance.
Following the 2003 invasion of Iraq I stopped voting Labour. I would stop voting Labour and resign from the party if any of the MP’s who tried the coup last year became leader. The country needs a strong Labour Party prepared to stand up for the people who need helping most. By the way I am not SWP or a Trot as you put it just a general member of the public. Regardless of the polls I will support the present Labour Party direction rather than have another Labour Party run by Tories.

It’s been taken over by crackpot SWP types and communists. A Shadow Chancellor who quotes Chairman Mao in parliament? Give me a break. Do you really think that’s going to attract voters?

People like me who voted Labour in 1997 have been scared off. And without voters like me, Labour cannot win elections. You cannot win elections if you alienate moderates. It’s simple maths. Just reflect for a moment: this is supposedly the ‘people’s party’ and yet 77% of the electorate don’t support them. 77%. That’s how out of touch they are.

And it’s not just the nutcase element, it’s the hypocrisy. You’ve got Labour frontbenchers who want us all to send our children to comprehensives, whilst they themselves send their children to fee-paying schools.

Corbyn wants to turn Labour into an extension of the SWP and Stop The War – or appears to by his actions.. He needs to get rid of most of his existing MPs who oppose him to do that. What better way than letting the voters of the UK do so at a GE? If it means Labour ending with 150MPs, at least in Corbyn’s eyes they will be more in line with his tune of thought..

This article assumes Corbyn’s motives as to win elections. I disagree: it’s to convert the PLP into a protest group.

As if the media would give a new leader a fair hearing. Maybe if they were a neoliberal New Labour type but then how will that “save” Labour except as a safe pair of corporate hands? The problem here isn’t Labour’s leader but rather the vitriol poured upon anyone who isn’t willing to accept the corporate shilling.
Does YouGov report opinion or shape it? I was a respondent for a few years, but then removed. No explanation as to why, I figured it was because I am a Corbyn supporter?
