In reply to Keith M. indeed Germany has been undergoing a huge nationalization process over the last 5 to 10 years bring much of it's infrastructure back into the public sphere. One wonders why they think Greece will do better out of a system they are actively abandoning. Of course the simple answer is that what is going on in Greece has little to do with what would help solve the financial crisis. I predict that if this continues it will be the death knell for both the euro and the wider European project which I think is a great shame as it has so much potential.

If I were Greece I would keep a very keen eye on those individuals controlling the sell off and where they will end up.Then if they go where I think they will renationalise said industries do not pay a penny in compensation and if they cry foul just say well I strongly recommend you take civil action against individual for corruption.

I’ve never understood the logic of selling off profitable assets to secure long term financial stability. The reason of course is it isn’t logical it’s really all about ensuring predominantly French and German banks get their money back and allowing corporate interests to profiteer at the expense of the people of a country.

How much for a few Greek Islands – I’m sure the Germans would pay top money for them
