The Loyalist heartland of Larne has the highest benefit claimers in NI.

Remember that for most of the last 50 years being a Unionist guaranteed you a job and housing if needed. There was a surplus of public service jobs so that Unionists could be kept in areas.

It’s destroyed their work ethic.

Loyalist East Belfast, another Loyalist heartland has some of the worst educational attainment and literacy results you will find anywhere in Europe. Generations of being favoured and not having to push hard for it, it is corrosive.

They should be promoting work and movement of people to work. I would be interested to know what areas in NI have the largest benefit claimers. And how benefits are claimed on behalf of absentees and dead people.
