So how do you explain the fact that the ~100 countries that signed up to the Cairo Convention on human rights, (that explicitly removes equal rights for women and those of other faiths), are members of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. Are you suggesting that the governments of all members if the OIC are extremists?

Given the will, the solution is straightforward. The Government must
1. Ensure the rule of law
2. Make sure that the laws do not violate human rights as internationally ratified.

In reply to Guest. If they don't change, they'll end up destroying themselves, by implosion. The State can do its bit by forcing integration in society at large, and adopting humane values. Time unfortunately is not on our side. The tide is turning against Islam, everywhere in the civilised world.
