Caroline is not an attention seeking poseur, nor a hack or a charlatan. She may be nieve and divorced from reality but then most Greens are, but we can’t hold that against them.

Sorry but often the democratic option is smothered by big money, misinformation etc. Just take Balcombe, 85% of people there don’t want drilling or fracking, would you call that a failure of democracy? Just curious.

I guess people shouldn’t have taken non-violent action against apartheid, the marches against vietnam/iraq, the civil rights movements, as the democratically elected governments of the day thought they were all ok too?

HMMMMMMMMMM.

Apparently she’s one of those people who think democracy has failed whenever a decision disagrees with her. It hasn’t. We had a democratic debate and she lost. I suggest shutting up and getting over it.

In reply to Jim Denham. How is she a charlatan or a poser? She is one of the few politicians I've seen who genuinely sticks up for what they believe in. While all of the other MP's are getting cautions for fiddling expenses, offering access for cash etc she is arrested for protesting. Good for her.

Lucas is a charlatan and a poseur: her reactionary position on nuclear power, GM crops and many international questions (she’s essentially an isolationist) should be challenged and exposed at every turn. I’m amazed that she gets such a good press on the left (and, come to that, on the right as well).
Having said that, she’s no worse than many on the Labour front bench.

Caroline Lucas is an attention seeking hack and the Green party are a bunch far-left posers.

The only thing she would add to a Labour coalition is a clear sign that is was fundamentally divorced from reality.

I agree. Labour has to give top priority to preventing us burning up the planet. Anything else would be a betrayal. Tribalism can’t be given greater priority.

Sadly, I do not believe there will be leadership from Labour. This once proud party has morphed into a red tory conglomerate of unprincipled hangers on and nest-featherers. As to a green agenda, Labour is far too deep into the brown stuff to care about the green.
