It’s that time of year again: Parliament’s back, conference season’s approaching, the days are getting longer… and it’s time to nominate your most influential left-wing thinker of 2011/12.
They need to be someone on the left (MPs, commentators, thinkers, charity workers) who has made a contribution to advancing left-wing ideas or concepts in the year from October 2011 to September 2012. If you’d like to submit a nomination, please email editor@leftfootforward.org, explaining your reasons why.
There will be a vote at the end of the month. Last year, our readers voted Owen Jones the most influential left-wing thinker of 2010/11 – but who will it be this year?
To reach hundreds of thousands of new readers and to make the biggest impact we can in the next general election, we need to grow our donor base substantially.

Days are getting shorter, but never mind they seem to be getting boring as well, with Tories mixing it up, no more dithering, very much like Gordon Brown.
I cannot in all honesty say much has changed and I would go for Owen Jones again
