It is an asset of the UK therefore on independence Scotland will still own a percentage of the Bank of England this fact seems to have been totally ignored it above analysis.

There is no reason that Scotland as part owner of the Bank of England would not be able to use the Bank of England as the Cental Bank of Scotland.

“The Bank of England is currently obliged to regard the effects its decisions will have on Scotland. Without Scotland being part of the UK and with no currency board, this will not apply. In other words, decisions that have an impact on Scotland will be taken in another country that is focused on stabilising the national economy, not the Scottish one.”

In other words there will be no change to the policy of the Bank of England given that there is currently no real regard for the impact it’s decisions currently have on Scotland.

A lot of absolute drivel spouted on here at times.
