Billy, for your information, before this dogmattic cuts program the CIPD estimated that unemployment would peak about where it was.

Now we know that an extra 750000 people are to be thrown on to the dole; hardly a way to cut the deficit, is it?

I smell a double-dip recession.

And in this time when we know that tuition fees are about to go up, and jobs in the public sector are being slashed (thus creating more NEETs) it seems extraordinary that the CBI are saying we should cut the top rate of Income Tax.

Why should the public sector and the poor pay for a mess that the rich in the City created?

You know something, if we’re all in this together, a suggestion that I would make to Mr Osborne would be to possibly consider a cut in VAT on Highschool Musical memorabilia…
