It will dilute the fringes of both parties. Cameron must be laughing his socks off with this. Foxhunting off the agenda, this inheritance tax thing shelved. And Clegg blocked on the loony ideas – scrapping Trident and mass immigration amnesty.

And Labour irrelevant through it all – let’s face it Cameron and Clegg “shocked and outraged” at the country’s financial position, up goes VAT and Brown gets the blame…

Sounds like a good deal for the Labour Party, and better for the country than letting the Tories rule without any brake.

For people in the media to continue to perpetuate the idea that Gordon Brown may do a deal with Nick Clegg is taking us for fools.

As I rightly predicted, Brown cost Labour the election – if he wasn’t even elected by members of his own party then why would we expect the electorate to vote for him?

I’m surprised that papers like the Indy believe that Lib Dem party members are annoyed about electoral reform aspects of the talks.

As bad as Labour did, the Lib Dems with their silly PR did even worse. As hard as it seems to be to prise Gordon Brown’s bitten fingernails from the door frame of 10 Downing St, at least with the present system we can get rid of these idiots – with PR we can’t…
