Agree that “David Cameron is a slick salesman but I worry about what he is like underneath” and “Gordon Brown has a warm human side to him” are leading questions that tend to compromise the whole poll – amazed ComRes agreed to include them.

I personally don’t agree with changing the voting system; the idea that it gives voters what they want is kind of a double-edged sword, since smaller parties can have more influence than they were voted to have.

And at any rate, I think that idea has to be balanced against giving people strong governments that actually can govern.

But by all means lets have the debate.

Can there have ever been two mear leading questions than

“David Cameron is a slick salesman but I worry about what he is like underneath”

and

“Gordon Brown has a warm human side to him”.

Spectacularly biased polling.

An 11 point Tory lead in those circumstances is quite incredible
