Centrica’s full-year profits hit £3.3bn for 2022, more than triple the £948m it made the year before.
Today BP announced that its annual profits more than doubled to £23bn in 2022, while last week oil and gas giant Shell announced eye-watering profits of £32.2bn, its highest in 115 years.

The company has reported operating profits of $9.5bn dollars (£8.19bn) which is more than double during the same period in 2021.
